figure sessions and not-figure sessions

Thought it would be nice to post up some sketchbook pages:

From SHM figure drawing sessions. I forgot how long these took since I jump around and try to fill up space, but I'm guessing they were five/ten minute poses.

Left: Also from figure drawing sessions. These past couple of sessions I've been getting a lot looser with drawing, so now I think it's time to get back to studying again :P
Right: Some headspillage and attempts to study animal anatomy. The jaguar drawings in red are studies of Claire Wendling. Need to study animal anatomy more!

Left: Some 2 minutes and having some fun. Excuse the silly thing in the corner
Right: These were done a while ago... Last semester I think. Also twos

Left: This was done around the beginning of the semester. Was trying to get back into the pace of figure drawing after being without sessions all winter. This is also on my sketchblog
Right: Chaotic page of twos from last semester.

ONE DAY I WILL GET A GOOD LONG POSE ON HERE DANGIT. I can feel it maaan

Slugger Sprites for Fleape

so I've been working on a game project with a team:

Here's the logo I designed for promo purposes, featuring Fleape and Scratchy designed by Amy Kim. You can see his sprites in action on her blog as well as other stuffs.

I've been taking care of the tick designs/sprites, Fleape's enemies!

Was pretty slow getting back into the animation process but I learned a lot from this. More to come!

113b shenanigans

Finally got a hold of a scanner that works (Thanks Danny!). This semester has been kicking my ass so far o_x but why not make a blog post

For the first 5 weeks of the semester we were assigned to do 25 tree studies per week along with our other assignments. I figured I'd start with this:

haha what is that! This is the first tree I did in the sketchbook, but time goes on and here are some that I liked towards the fourth week:
Then the idiosyncratic trees were assigned, 5 per week for week 5 and 6. We were supposed to spend around 3 hours or more on these:

Still got a whole lot to learn about trees but I'm glad I've made progress at least!

also some ideations for our upcoming forest project:

PokeArt for Charity

Not sure about the details of the show, but all proceeds made at the show will be donated to Canines for Disabled Kids. I got randomly assigned Jigglypuff and also had a craving for fruit cream anmitsu at the time. :9

This is one of my rough sketches of what it was going to be, but it's a charity show for kids, so...
